These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Clear Habits app (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Clear Habits, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Clear Habits.
If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the app.
3. Description of the App
Clear Habits is a habit tracking and daily planning application designed to help users organise, review, and reflect on daily actions and routines.
The app includes features such as:
- Daily habit commitment and tracking with locked plans
- Challenges — streak-based goals that reset on a missed day
- Accountability circles — groups where members can see each other's daily check-in status and send nudges
- Insight analytics showing completion patterns, blocker trends, and time-block performance
- Cloud sync using your account to back up and restore data across devices
The app provides informational and organisational tools only.
4. No Medical or Professional Advice
Clear Habits is not a medical, therapeutic, mental health, financial, or professional advice service.
The app does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or personalised professional advice of any kind.
5. Daily Insight Quotes
The app displays daily insight quotes attributed to various public figures and authors. These quotes are included for general inspiration only.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of attributions. Some quotes may be paraphrased, commonly misattributed, or from uncertain origins. They do not represent endorsement of Clear Habits by any quoted individual.
6. No Guarantees
Clear Habits does not guarantee:
- Habit formation
- Behaviour change
- Productivity improvements
- Personal, professional, financial, or health outcomes
Results depend on your own actions, consistency, and circumstances.
7. Premium Features and Subscriptions
Clear Habits may offer optional paid features (“Premium”).
- Payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play
- Subscriptions are managed through your relevant app store account settings
- Renewals, cancellations, billing, and refunds are subject to the relevant app store's policies
- Pricing, trial offers, and Premium features may change in the future
Premium features currently include but are not limited to:
- Unlimited habits per day
- Advanced insights (weekly and monthly analytics, blocker patterns, time-block performance, fragile day forecasts, coaching verdicts)
- Streak protection — save your perfect streak up to 2 times per calendar month when life gets in the way. Protected days remain broken in your insights and completion data; only the streak counter is preserved
- Custom challenge creation
- Unlimited accountability circles
- Editing yesterday's habits after cutoff
The specific features included in Premium may change over time.
Clear Habits does not process card payments directly.
When you purchase Premium, the applicable terms and policies of Apple, Google Play, and any subscription infrastructure used by the app may also apply.
We are not responsible for store outages, app store billing issues, third-party payment processing errors, or actions taken by Apple, Google Play, or related service providers.
8. Licence and Permitted Use
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Clear Habits for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
You agree not to misuse the app, including attempting to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, copy, modify, or tamper with the app
- Use the app in a way that breaks laws or infringes the rights of others
- Resell, redistribute, exploit, or commercially use the app beyond what applicable store terms allow
- Interfere with the normal operation, integrity, or security of the app
9. Accountability Circles and Shared Features
Accountability circles allow users to share daily check-in status with other circle members. By joining or creating a circle, you agree that your display name and daily status (committed, in progress, or done) will be visible to other members of that circle.
You are responsible for the display name you choose. Do not use names that are offensive, misleading, or that impersonate others.
We may remove or restrict circle access if we reasonably believe it is being misused.
10. User-Generated Content and Conduct
When you use features that allow you to submit content — including display names, circle names, custom challenge names, and any other text you enter that may be visible to other users — that content is User-Generated Content (“UGC”).
By submitting UGC, you grant Clear Habits Limited a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, and process that content for the purpose of operating the service.
You are solely responsible for the content you submit. You warrant that:
- You have the right to submit it
- It does not infringe the rights of any third party
- It complies with these Terms and applicable law
You must not submit content that:
- Contains hate speech, harassment, threats, or incitement to violence
- Is sexually explicit, pornographic, or otherwise inappropriate for a general audience
- Is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, or invasive of another's privacy
- Infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
- Impersonates another person or misrepresents your identity
- Contains spam, scams, or links to malicious content
- Reveals personal information about others without their consent
We may remove any content and suspend or terminate any account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any reason — including suspected breach of these Terms or applicable law.
If you encounter UGC that you believe violates these rules, you can report it directly from inside the app. We aim to review reports within 24 hours. If you believe your account has been actioned in error, you may appeal by contacting admin@clearhabitsapp.com.
11. App Availability and Changes
We may update, modify, suspend, withdraw, or discontinue the app or any feature at any time.
We may also change features, pricing, or access conditions where reasonably necessary, including for technical, business, legal, or security reasons.
Where practical, we may provide notice of significant changes.
12. Limitation of Liability
Clear Habits is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to that, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, cost, or claim arising from your use of, inability to use, or reliance on the app.
13. Termination and Suspension
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it from your device.
We may suspend or terminate access to the app where reasonably necessary, including if we believe these Terms have been breached or the app needs to be withdrawn, updated, or protected for legal, operational, or security reasons.
14. Privacy and Data Sync
Your habit data is stored on your device. If you sign in, it is also synced to our cloud infrastructure and associated with your account. This includes habits, daily plans, completion records, streak protections, challenge progress, circle memberships, and Identity Cards.
Accountability circle data (your display name, daily check-in status, and nudge records) is shared with other circle members. Circle members cannot see your habit titles, miss reasons, streak protection usage, or insight data.

15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
